Durban City Sightseeing Tour with Ushaka Marine World
Discover the highlights of the city of Durban, with the morning dedicated to showing you the cultural and historical contrasts of this city.
Travel along the beachfront towards the harbor entrance where you can see anything from sari clad Indian ladies walking on the sand to traditional healers collecting bottles of seawater to use as muti (medicine).
Continue past Durban City Hall and the Playhouse Theatre complex to the Indian Markets, where you can get a taste of Indian culture. Enjoy the scents of spices and see the hawkers and herbalists ply their trades.

2. Nigeria Overview
Situated in tropical West Africa, the oil rich state of Nigeria is the regional superpower, but despite its abundant natural resources it remains one of the world's poorest countries with a per capita GDP of just US$300 per annum.
The country is made up of over 250 tribes, and this explosive mix together with tensions between the Muslim population and the Christians, who make up the majority in the oil producing south of the country, have contributed to Nigeria's potential being untapped. Decades of civil war, famine, military dictators and rampant corruption have left the country with deep divisions that will take many years to ease. Despite recent democratic elections (April 2003) there remains a real risk of renewed civil war.
The capital city is Abuja, but the largest economic centre and chief port is Lagos, located on the Bight of Benin in southwestern Nigeria. Lagos was formerly the capital but this was moved to Abuja in the heart of the country in 1991, largely in a bid to curb the frenetic migration to Lagos not only from rural Nigeria, but neighboring countries as well. This sprawling overcrowded industrial metropolis is already home to more than 14 million people.
With 500 miles (805km) of coastline Nigeria has all the raw ingredients to make for a top tourist destination, and the new government has pledged to improve infrastructure and attract investment to tap the country's tourism potential. Meanwhile, this varied land of sandy beaches, lagoons, tracts of tropical forest, magnificent waterfalls and fascinating historic sites is being enjoyed by only the most adventurous travellers.

Day 1: Our tour starts when the client arrive Lagos Muritala Int’l Airport. The traveller will be meet ad assisted by our staff into your waiting vehicle to be transferred to his hotel. Check in the hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast we depart the hotel for an early morning trip to Nigeria Conservation Foundation. It is typically better as the birds are more active and vocal making them easier to spot. Among the birds we may expect to see are: Black Kite, Lizard Buzzard, Grey Kestrel, Red-eyed Dove, Blue-spotted Wood-Dove, Green Pigeon, Woodland Kingfisher, Allied and Piping Hornbills. Day 3: Lagos Mega City. After breakfast, transfer to Ikoyi Island for a sightseeing tour. During the colonial era, the island was developed as a residential cantonment for the expatriate British community and still retains many of the large colonial residences built between 1900 and 1950. See post Ikoyi after the colonial period, and its Dodan Barracks residence of some of Nigeria's military rulers. Ikoyi now contains many other government buildings as well as, businesses, hotels, schools, and the famous social club - Ikoyi Club 1938 and Golf club - Ikoyi Golf Club.
Southern Sun Hotel is on Kingsway road. Ikoyi includes the newer suburbs of Banana Island, Parkview Estate and Dolphin Estate. Via the Falomo Bridge is a popular high street lined with upscale shops and boutiques. Due to its proximity to Victoria Island and Lagos Island, much of Lagos's business tourism is centred on Ikoyi, which has a mix of excellent 4-5 star hotels. Transfer to Victoria Island via the Falomo Bridge. This island hosts the famous bar beach and the Silver Bird Cinema. Victoria Island is the financial hub of Lagos state with the head quarters of most bank, located in this island. Transfer to Lekki Peninsula. Then transfer to local airport for flight to Kano. On arrival in Kano airport, meet and greet and transfer to hotel for rest and overnight at the hotel in Kano.
Day 4: Kano. After breakfast take a tour of the ancient city of Kano and its districts. Hiking Dalla Hill, Emir's Palace, Museum, Indigo Dye Pits, Weaving and Pottery Villages, Transfer Back to hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Departure. Free day to prepare for departure. Evening transfer to airport for flight back to Lagos.
Day 6: After Breakfast, departs for full Day Complementary Transfer for shopping in the biggest mall in Lagos (Shoprite in Lekki)
Day 7: Breakfast in the morning and Free/Optional activity day.

Day 03: Castles and slave dungeons tour
Depart for a scenic drive along the Atlantic Ocean to Cape Coast where you will tour the infamous Castles and Slave Dungeons of Ghana. Visit the Cape Coast Castle for a real touch of slave history. Built by the Swedes and later controlled by the British, this castle also accommodates the West African Historical Museum which was established in 1994. You will have the opportunity to watch a documentary dubbed: “Cross roads of people, Cross roads of trades”. This Castle was visited by the first African-American President of America, Barrack H. Obama in July 2009.
Continue to visit Elmina Castle for another nostalgia evoking slave trade story. Also known as St. George Castle, Elmina castle was built by the Portuguese in 1482. It was the first and largest European structure to be built in Sub-Saharan Africa. The beautiful harbour below the castle offers a great picturesque scene.

Day 04: Traditional naming ceremony on stilts
Depart for a morning drive to the western region of Ghana. Arrive at Amansure where you will put on your lifejacket and get ready for an exciting adventurer’s experience. You take an hour-long canoe ride through the Amansure wetland to Nzulezu (Village on Stilts). Enjoy the view of the splendid natural wonderland and gaze at the wonderful flora and bird species while you paddle to Nzulezu. You will receive a warm welcome by the villagers. Here you will participate in a special naming ceremony organised just for you. You will be met with a colourful display of Nzima culture. The naming ceremony which begins with a round of hearty welcomes and speeches will render you spellbound at the splendour of real Nzima culture. The villagers will tell you about their interesting history and give you a tour of their homes.

Day 05: Kakum National Park

This Canopy Walkway is made up of seven bridges extending 330m and hangs 40m above the forest floor. After lunch of African cuisine which will leave an indelible signature of good taste on your tongue, embark on a drive through the forest zone to Kumasi, the heart of the famous Asante Kingdom. Day 06: Asanteman cultural tour
Begin this day with a cultural shopping tour of the three famous craft villages in Ashanti - Ahwiaa, the wood carvers’ village, Ntonso, the home of Adinkra cloth and Bonwire, the Kente weaving village. You will have the opportunity to see how African sculptures are carved, Ashanti Adinkra wax prints are made and how the famous Kente cloth is woven using an amazing traditional technology. You will also have the opportunity to buy directly from the artisans who make them. Later depart for a drive through the forest zone to Accra. After lunch, visit Manhyia Palace Museum, to obtain in-depth information on the Ashanti kingdom. A regal history that dates back to the 18th century is told with real touch. Enjoy a drive through the cultural laden city of Kumasi city. End the day’s tour at the National Cultural Center which houses the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum.

Day 07: Ejisu cultural finding
Check-out and depart for a drive through the forest zone to the Eastern Region of Ghana to explore the beauty of nature at the cradle of hydro-electric power, Akosombo. En route, visit the palace of the great queen mother of Ejisu, Nana Yaa Asantewaa. She was the woman who led the Asante war against the British when the then governor of the Gold Coast, Sir Frederick Hodgson, demanded to be allowed to sit on the Golden Stool and ordered that a search for it be conducted. You will see the statute and personal relics of Nana Yaa Asantewaa in the royal town of Ejisu and also have the opportunity to interact with her family members to learn more about this intrinsic history. Also visit Besease to explore the beliefs, history and bravery of the Asantes at the Besease Shrine. You will be captivated by the Asante historic oral account as it is told by an old and knowledgeable traditional linguist. Continue with a drive to Akosombo for dinner and overnight.

Drive to the Lake Port of Akosombo to cruise on the largest man-made lake in the world, Lake Volta, which covers about 3.6% of Ghana’s total land area. Aboard the cruise boat called Dodi Princess, you could dance or listen to the sweet sounds of live highlife music played by the cruise boat resident band, the King’s Anchor Band, while you enjoy lunch on the cruise. You will be fascinated by the calm of the lake as you bask in the beauty of the serene gorge that holds the waters of the world’s largest man-made lake.

4. Rwanda

Itinerary - 2 days African Mountain Gorilla Tour in Rwanda
Day 1. Travel from Kigali to Volcanoes National park.
On arrival at the airport, you will be picked by our representative and head north-wards to Volcanoes national park, also named as parc National des Volcans. The journey is amazing as you are able to see the magnificent hills, well terraced and having a breath taking view of valleys the five peaks of the Virunga Mountains. On arrival, you will check in Kinigi Guest house or Gorillas Nest for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Departure.
Early in the morning, together with the necessary tracking gear and packed lunch, you will move to the park headquarters for briefing, before proceeding with the ranger guides for the memorable adventure. Tracking will take you through steed slopes and thick forest trails, and may take 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the giants in their natural environment. The activity is quite strenuous, but worth undertaking. A maximum of one hour will be allowed with the Gorillas.
